This Summer has been pretty busy so I am just catching up with the blog now that things have calmed down a little bit….

I think Wells has to be one of my favourite places and Charlton House is a perfect bolthole in our household for a child-free weekend away so I was really looking forward to Emily and Alistair’s wedding. Emily and her girlfriends were getting ready in one of the lovely rooms at Charlton House that has a little terrace overlooking the garden; a lovely spot to sit and do your make up and think about the day ahead. There were a few tears when the girls saw Emily in her dress and it was soon time to head off to Wells for the ceremony in the Town Hall. Alistair was greeting guests and there were a few family members on hand to entertain Alfie and Maia before Emily arrived. Alfie joined in during the rings part of the ceremony and Emily’s Sister Rosy did a lovely reading.

Afterwards we had just gone outside to throw confetti all over Emily and Alistair and, quite incredibly, the Red Arrows flew right over us…I am not sure it could have been any better really! It was only a short wander along Market Square and into the Bishops Palace for some Champagne and a few pictures. The gardens there are beautiful and really flat and safe for little ones to run around so Alfie and Maia had a lot of fun too.  We then strolled back to Antons for the wedding breakfast. Here are some of my favourite pictures from their day:
