My first wedding this year was at Thornbury Castle back in February and so it was nice to be back there again a couple of weeks back for my last wedding of the year and as usual I thought how the time had flown! Liz and Mike had the perfect Autumn day and it was bright and fairly mild for the end of November. The castle is a very cosy place to be in winter and up in the tower suite Liz was getting ready with the fire on and a glass of Champagne. They had decided to have a small intimate wedding and the castle was a perfect setting; downstairs Mike and the guests assembled in the sitting room which I really like for a small ceremony as it’s lovely for guests to sit and chat on the sofas and armchairs in there and it makes for a very relaxed atmosphere.
Afterwards we nipped outside to make the most of the daylight and got some lovely shots in the grounds. I love the old castle walls and there are nice places for photographs even in the winter in the garden. Here are some of my favourite images:
