Well the Autumn colour is well underway now and has made for some beautiful shoots recently. A couple of weeks back, I photographed Emma and Luca’s wedding at Priston Mill, which is just up the road from me and a favourite venue of mine. I started at the Mill just before the ceremony where last minute preparations and a few jobs just to set up the room were going on. Luca, his best man and ushers were also getting to grips with their button holes and chatting to guests outside the mill. Luca’s family is Italian so I was trying my hardest to recall my basic Italian from years back – its such a beautiful language. Emma and Luca had chosen a maps theme for the wedding which they used for the table decorations and table plan which I really liked – the chair decorations had hearts made out of map paper tied to them which looked really pretty.
Emma arrived with her Dad and bridesmaids in a horse and carriage so it was really nice it was dry. Emma and Luca looked so happy throughout the whole ceremony – you could really see what a big moment it was for them looking at their faces. Afterwards, as it was so nice guests had drinks and canapés on the lawn and we did a few family photos as well as some of Emma and Luca using the colourful countryside backgrounds.
It was soon time for dinner and speeches and Emma’s Dad was busy refining his speech on his ipad just before; the first time I have seen one used for a speech at a wedding and a great idea. After dinner the ceilidh band set up as people got their dancing shoes on and hit the floor. Here are a few of my favourite images:
