The week before Easter, I photographed Andrew and Lesley’s wedding at Thornbury Castle – a lovely setting for a Spring wedding. Andrew and Lesley have been such a nice couple to get to know. They have known each other for many years and even went to school together so it was a particularly special ocassion for them to tie the knot surrounded by friends and family.
The ceremony was held in the Tudor Hall which I have never seen looking quite so fantastic – decorated in a medieval style with hundreds of candles. Andrew and Lesley both looked delighted through the whole ceremony and just as we came outside the Hall for champagne, the sun decided to shine and they had some time in the walled garden with their guests.
Medieval musician Dante Ferrara (https://www.danteferrara.co.uk) played a wonderful variety of tunes and several people had their feet tapping! I have not come across a medieval minstrel at a wedding before and it really added to the castle atmosphere – for a minute in the candlelight it did look like we had stepped back in time to the 1600s!
