I am a bit behind with my blog after a very busy August so here we go with catching up!
Last Saturday I photographed Emma and Luke’s wedding in the Cotswolds. They got married in their own village of Aldbourne and had their reception in one of my favourite venues, Kingscote Barn (www.kingscotebarn.co.uk).
First thing I headed over to Emma’s local hairdressers, where she and her bridesmaid, Rachel were having their hair and make up done. Emma was clearly really happy and loving having a bit of a pamper!
We then went home for a few shots of their final preparations, before I heaed off to the church to catch up with Luke. The village brass band were practising in the church playing old classics and a few jazzy numbers from Chicago, so there was a real party atmosphere already!
Emma and Luke both beamed all the way through the ceremony and were clearly delighted they were finally tying the knot! Afterwards, guests wandered down to the village green, before heading off in one of Luke’s bus company’s buses (very handy for a wedding!) to the Barn.
Emma and Luke’s wedding planner Ruth (www.finesseplanning.co.uk) had gone to a lot of effort to decorate the Barn and it looked fantastic – elegant and romantic with hints of pink and an English Country Garden theme with flowers, candles and hearts made from twigs and ribbons.
Here are some of my favourite shots:
