Last weekend was one of several weddings this year where couples have been lucky enough to have a relative who is a Vicar and so able to marry them! When I arrived at Eastleach church on Saturday, Jo’s Aunty and Uncle were both there as florist and Vicar respectively – so it was a real family affair!
I then headed up to the road to Jo’s parents’ house where preparations were underway. Later on in his speech, Mark mentioned the family’s legendary hospitality and this was very much evident with everyone being offered a lovely lunch of home cooked roast meats and salad (very civilised and a far cry from the usual hastily munched sandwhiches or half a banana!).
After taking some shots of Jo and the general goings on, I headed back to church to catch up with Mark and capture the guests arriving. Jo arrived in a gorgeous open top Rolls Royce and once she and her Father had walked down the aisle, I had a great vantage point during the ceremony for some lovely close up images of all the excitement and emotion!
After the ceremony, guests had a glass of bubbly in the churchyard before heading off to the Dormy House, Near Stow, for the reception. Jo and Mark stayed behind for some location shots in Jo’s grandparents’ garden (which is absolutely stunning and had the most perfect blue doors on their outbuildings – photography heaven!) before we headed off to join their guests.
Here are a few shots from their day:
