Ami and Rob chose the stunning setting of the Matara Centre in Kingscote for their wedding on Friday. They had planned their day to be an unconventional celebration with lots of little touches to make the day really personal; from the variety of pottery containers Ami had planted with fresh herbs for their table centres, to fantastic Spanish guitar music and a candlelit parade in the maze after dinner.
Ami wanted the morning to be a relaxed catch up with friends, so quite a few people popped upstairs to see her and her best woman, Helen, as they were getting ready and enjoying some Bucks Fizz. Downstairs, Rob was greeting guests who had arrived for a pre-ceremony sandwich and a cup of tea (what a great idea for guests after a journey!).
After a lovely ceremony in the Watergarden, when Ami and Rob read each other vows they had written themselves, the whole party headed out to the grounds to enjoy drinks and nibbles to the sound of some fantastic acoustic guitar music, which was a great choice given Ami’s Spanish family.
After they had spent some time chatting to their guests, Ami and Rob headed off for some time together and I took some photographs of them using all the wonderful backgrounds.
Here are a few shots from their day:
