The last day of January already and its been quite an eventful month for me – after a blissful relaxing week in the sun at new year, we have all three of us since then had the bug that’s been going around, I have had a chest infection and then 2 weeks ago Jamie broke his arm! I think illness knocks you for six at this time of year so I am just catching up now with some of the shoots I did just before Christmas.
I have said in previous posts what a wonderful Autumn 2013 was for location portrait shoots and in fact the mild weather and Autumn leaves continued into December when I met up with Emily and Robert and their little baby boy William. I photographed their wedding back in 2011 and they were up in the area staying at Ston Easton Park where they got married for a wedding anniversary treat just before Christmas so we decided to do the shoot there. The grounds are wonderful for portrait shoots as well as weddings as I love all the natural backgrounds like leaves, mossy stones and the beautiful old trees there. Even though it was mild for December we still wrapped William up well and he even sported a very cute hat for some of the pictures. We headed indoors for a nappy change and to give him some food and ended up doing the rest of the shoot inside as he liked sitting with no clothes on so much! Here are a few favourite images:
