Last Saturday, Caroline and Tim were married at Kingscote Barn in the Cotswolds – it’s a lovely setting even in the middle of Winter and when I arrived, the Christmas tree and lovely decorations made everything look very festive!

Caroline and her Mum and Sister were getting ready in the cottage and as their hair and make up was done, the kettle was on almost constantly for very welcome cups of tea for everyone!

After spending some time with the girls, I headed up to the barn to meet up with Tim and to have a look around the ceremony room.  The barn is a beautifully modern conversion so it’s really light – which is great at this time of year and the flowers Caroline had chosen included Christmas roses, which looked gorgeous!

After the ceremony, guests had warming glasses of mulled wine and despite a bit of drissle, Caroline and Tim were keen to spend a few minutes outside for some photographs.

Brides worrying about rain take note – you can get some lovely shots even in the wet – just pick a cream or clear umbrella with no branding on it and have fun!

Here are a few images from their day:

It’s been a busy Autumn here so far with the new studio now open and some lovely portrait sessions in the studio and also in the Autumn leaves.  I have just got back from a blissful couple of weeks’ holiday and so I’ll catch up with blogging as soon as I can!

Just before I went away, the lovely Tandy family came for a family shoot as their new baby Oliver was 6 months old.  I photographed Laura and Rob’s wedding a few years ago and then baby Erin last year (who is now an energetic toddler!) so it was great to catch up with them.

It was a nice day weatherwise, so after some shots in the studio we headed out to the orchard (a very popular spot with little ones!) and took some photos of Erin there playing under the trees.

Here are a few of my favourite shots from their session:

On Saturday morning I headed over to the Avon Gorge Hotel to meet up with Kathryn and her bridesmaids who were having their hair and make up done.  They had a lovely suite overlooking the gorge and we watched the rain and mist clear to leave beautiful sunshine just in time for them to leave for Ashton Court.

Guests enjoyed the unusually warm Autumn sunshine outside before Kathryn arrived looking so happy with her Father in a fabulous vintage car.

Their ceremony was particularly personal as Django’s Grandfather gave them some words of wisdom (after being married for over 60 years you could say he was an authority on the subject!) and Django’s Dad played the saxaphone during the signing of the registers.

After the ceremony, we headed outside for a few shots in the lovely grounds using the seasonal backdrops and then Kathryn and Django spent some time drinking Champagne with their guests in the sunshine.

Here are a few shots from their day:

Last week I caught up with Caroline and Tim, who are getting married in a few weeks for their pre-wedding shoot.  We met up at @Bristol and had a great time taking some photographs around the fountains area (not warm enough to paddle though at this time of year!).  Here are a few images from their session:
